EX-DAAD STUDENTS MEETING

In the framework of the Pre Congress IEEE ARGENCON, on the 7th day of September of 2022, a meeting of ex-DAAD students of post grade programs of IEE UNSJ-CONICET will be held with the aim of thinking over the results of the DAAD regional program of scholarships. Mainly as regards the formation received and the relation with their working insertion in different fields (Academic, Public or Private) in their countries of origin. So as to identify the strengths and weaknesses as well as the opportunities and challenges to pursuit a continuous improvement in the post grade programs.

On the other hand, the technological revolution that we are immersed nowadays requires a deep analyzes of the different requirements of Latin American countries so as to give answer to the different needs guiding the post grade training towards solutions (in strategic areas to define thesis themes, etc.). Therefore, it is essential the opinion of those who finished the post grade programs because they know in detail both the needs of their countries and our capability of training human resources. Last but not least important the meeting will allow establishing and strengthening cooperation ties among the different institutions of the ex-DAAD students, which will produce benefits to the post grade programs with internship programs, co-direction of thesis work, collaboration to select jury for thesis works, etc. This will lead to have a fluid relation with former ex-DAAD students, which turn to be essential to foster the spread of events, call for scholarships, etc. Besides, this propitiates the maintenance of the level of excellence of the IEE programs.

ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT

• Day 1 (05/09/22): Workshop on energy transition in Latin America and the relation with the DAAD program. Welcome Barbecue.
• Day 2 (06/09/22): Workshop on energy transition in Latin America and the relation with the DAAD program.
• Day 3 (07/09/22): Meeting between ex-students and present students of DAAD.
• Day 3 to 5 (07-09/09/22): Participation of ex-DAAD students in the VI Biennial Congress IEEE ARGENCON which will be developed in San Juan at the IEE, Instituto de Energía Eléctrica-FI-UNSJ.
