Cat Vachon
Cat (Catherine) Vachon is a Diversity & Inclusion Specialist. An inherently empathetic person, Cat has enjoyed work in Human Resources for the last 7 years with roles from Onboarding Specialist to Project Management. Cat is a 2015-2016 winner of the National Association of Professional Women’s (NAPW) “Woman of the Year Award” for her dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm for her work. Since starting at Sensata Technologies 2 years ago, she has created a comprehensive D&I strategy, which resulted in:
– a stronger partnership with Engineering leaders, and helping to create a Technical Coaching program aimed at supporting our diverse technical talent by partnering them with experts in the field
– a plan for the sustainability and creation of affinity groups, resulting in the addition of 7 new affinity groups
– creating multiple employee trainings
– created a leadership learning program for the women of Sensata
– launching new internal and external diversity websites
– helping Sensata win multiple awards
– creating a global diversity recruiting program
Cat graduated from the University of Rhode Island with Double Majors in Art History and French Language. In her spare time, she likes to watch movies with her husband, snuggle her furbaby, read, get crafty, and travel.
