Megan Samford
Megan is a security executive with a career spanning several positions both in government and the private sector with focus on industrial control systems security, critical infrastructure protection and risk analysis. In her role at Rockwell Automation, Megan is responsible for driving the product security strategy and program for Rockwell Automation. Rockwell Automation, with its Allen Bradley and Rockwell Software product lines, is the world’s largest company dedicated to automation and Industrial Control Systems.
Prior to joining Rockwell Automation, Megan was the Product Security Leader for GE Global Research and manager of the Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT). During her government service Megan served as Virginia’s Critical Infrastructure Protection Coordinator within the Governor’s Offices of Tim Kaine and Bob McDonnell. Throughout her career, Megan has served as a subject matter expert to the United States government for software supply chain integrity, critical infrastructure protection, chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, explosive response, (CBRNE) and associated risk analysis and mitigation initiatives.
Megan holds a Masters of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, both from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
