Veronica Wendt

VernVern is a decorated U.S. Army veteran and experienced professor of higher education. She has over two decades of experience in telecommunications systems and emerging technologies. In her role as a professor practice at the College of Information and Cyberspace, National Defense University, she leads multidisciplinary teams that develop and deliver the curriculum in technology, policy, and executive leadership to senior-level government officials in cyberspace operations, emerging technology, social media, and national security. Vern also teaches as an adjunct at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in the Science, Technology & International Affairs department where she relates works of science fiction to emerging technology concepts such as robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented/virtual reality. She is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and the University of Maryland, University College with an M.S. in Telecommunications Management. She lives in Washington, DC.
