Monica McManus

MonicaMonica McManus is vice president and chief information officer (CIO) of Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area. In this role, Monica is responsible for the development and execution of the information technology (IT) strategy. Monica has more than 30 years of experience in business, program and engineering leadership. She began her career at TRW in software engineering and program leadership before joining Lockheed Martin in 1997. Since then, she has moved into leadership positions of increasing scope and complexity, supporting federal, commercial and international markets. Previously, Monica served in several roles with responsibility for profit and loss, engineering performance and IT leadership. These include vice president of applications and CIO of Lockheed Martin’s Enterprise Operations, vice president and CIO of Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Solutions (IS&GS) business area, vice president of IS&GS Security Engineering and vice president of Geospatial Systems and Services. Monica is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science. She received a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. Monica has been involved in many community activities, with a passion for STEM activities. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the National Alliance for Partnerships in Equity (NAPE) and Co-Chair of the Lockheed-Martin Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Awareness (HOLA) Leadership Council. She has been recognized as one of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) 100 in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Monica was also named by the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) in its list of the 50 Most Powerful Latinas in 2017 and 2018.
