Cindy Daniell

Dr. Cindy Daniell became the Director of the Research Directorate for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in June 2018.  She brings over 30 years of experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) community from both government service and private industry.

Her experience at HRL Laboratories and SRI International focused largely on the technology development of image processing, computer vision, and AI.  She spent six years as a Program Manager in the Defense Sciences Office of DARPA, leading a portfolio of R&D programs in areas such as surveillance, signal processing, clean energy, and clean water.

Dr. Daniell has a BS in electrical engineering from the University of South Alabama and an MS and PhD in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology.  She holds three patents and has authored or coauthored 12 peer-reviewed publications.
