He is the Director of the University Diploma in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies at the National University of Rafaela (UNRaf). He is currently Deputy Director of the UNRaf-CONICET Rafaela Research and Transfer Center and Representative for Argentina of the energy knowledge hub for Latin America of the IDB dedicated to designing energy policies. He is a CONICET Researcher, Director of the Research Laboratory in Electromobility, Energy Efficiency, and Renewable Energies, and a regular professor at UNRaf. In addition, he is Treasurer of the Joint Chapter # 1 (IE13 / CS23 / RA24 / IA34 / PEL35 / VT06 of the Argentine Section of the IEEE since 2021.

Dr. Ing. Facundo Aguilera
Facundo Aguilera obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering from the National University of San Luis (UNSL), in 2019, and a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences from the National University of Río Cuarto (UNRC), in 2015. He is a researcher at CONICET and professor in the Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering careers of the Faculty of Engineering, UNRC. He is a member of the Applied Electronics Group (GEA) of IITEMA, UNRC-CONICET, and of the Embedded Systems Laboratory, UNRC. He was president of the UNSL Student Branch (2017), president of the Young Professionals Affinity Group (2017) and since 2021 he is vice president of Joint Chapter #1 (IE13/CS23/RA24/IA34/PEL35/VT06), all belonging to the Argentine Section of the IEEE.

Electrical Engineer graduated in 2020 from the San Nicolás Regional Faculty of the National Technological University.
Since 2016, she has been teaching at the Villa Ramallo Technical Secondary School No. 1 in the Laboratory of Industrial Processes and Electrical Machines. She has taught different courses and diplomas on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
She was an assistant in Physics II of the Industrial Engineering career at the San Nicolás Regional Faculty at the UTN, from 2018 to 2020.
She is an assistant in Electrotechnics I in the Electrical Engineering career at the San Nicolás Regional Faculty of the National Technological University from 2019 to the present.
She is assigned to the Electrotechnics subject at the National University of Río Cuarto, Faculty of Engineering, from 2021 to the present.
She taught at the higher and university levels, in the areas of mathematics, physics, laboratory of industrial processes, electrical machines, electrotechnics.
Currently, she is studying a Doctorate in Engineering Sciences at the National University of Río Cuarto and finishing the pedagogical section studied at the Universidad del Este. In addition, she is Secretary of the Joint Chapter # 1 (IE13 / CS23 / RA24 / IA34 / PEL35 / VT06 of the Argentine Section of the IEEE since 2021.

PhD. Edson H. Watanabe

PhD. Edson H. Watanabe

Edson H. Watanabe got the Electronic Engineer (1975) degree from the Polytechnic School and Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (1976) from Coppe, both at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and got the Doctor of Engineering (D. Eng.) from Tokyo Institute of Technology, (1981). He is now a professor at the Electrical Engineering Program, Coppe/UFRJ. His field of interests are Power Electronics Applications to Power Systems, including integration of renewable sources to the grid, Electric Energy Quality, HVDC and FACTS. He is the coauthor of the book “Instantaneous Power Theory and Applications to Power Conditioners”, published by IEEE Press / John Wiley in 2017. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering (Brazil), IEE-Japan, Brazilian Society of Automatic Control, Brazilian Power Electronics Society, CIGRE and PELS, IAS, IES and PES at IEEE. In 2013, he received the IEEE PES Nari Hingorani FACTS Award, he is Life Fellow of IEEE since 2018 and was admitted to the National (Brazil) Order of Scientific Merit, in the class of “Comendador”, in 2005. In 2020 he was decorated by the Emperor of Japan with “The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon.

DESCRIPTION

The interests of the Industrial Applications and Electronics field are the following: advancing the theory and practice of electrical and electronic engineering in the development, design, manufacture, and application of electrical systems, apparatus, devices, and controls for the processes and equipment of the industry and commerce; promoting safe, reliable and economical installations and sustaining industry leadership in energy conservation and environmental, health and safety issues.
